From the cobbles of old world Europe to the forgotten roads around your town, Trek's Domane 5.9 lets you ride faster, farther, and smoother. Handmade from Trek's 500 Series OCLV Carbon, the Domane is light and stiff, and with genius ideas like their IsoSpeed tech, it's compliant too. Race-all-day geometry gives you the edge over the competition with confidence-inspiring handling while the specs keep you at the front of the peloton. Gracing the 5.9 is nothing less than Shimano's brilliant Ultegra Di2 drivetrain with effortless shifting and electronic precision for maximum efficiency. Then, add zippy Bonty Race Lite wheels, an IsoSpeed carbon fork, integrated seatmast, and a saddle with titanium rails, and you have one serious machine built to dominate any road, smooth or rough.

I love my Domane 5.9. I had a Domane 4.7 as well, but when the opportunity came to do a slight upgrade to the 500 series frame and Ultegra Di2 shifting, count me in. Just like all of the Domane series of its time, comfortable but stiff response in the H2 geometry, light, stiff enough to still feel like a capable road bike. I am interested in completing long distance rides, I am not going to race and the extra comfort allows your body to stay fresh enough to complete the centuries and century plus rides in a reasonable amount of time. Roads can be rough with cracks, potholes, and other hazards on the road and Domane just cruises right over them. Series 500 carbon is light but still value driven to not be insane pricing. I understand the lighter bikes and their cost premiums, and Series 500 seems to be a sweet spot for value. We have hills here in Northern California, and some grades can be as harsh as 15-20% grades. You need all your energy for the climbs, so not losing energy due to road conditions are a great benefit.
road riding/everything you could ask for /its in this domain/ trek you hit the nail on the head.
After 20 years of non-cycling I tried over 50 different makes and models for a trial-fit bike(prior to building a custom with a $15k+ budget) and chose the Domane 5.9 over the Specialized Roubaix after a ride on the Kona coast. It rides similar to my S-Works Carbon Stumpjumper (comfort level)and the Shimano electronic shifting is absolutely awesome. I finish every ride with a mile long 13%+ grade to my house and it has not missed a shift. Killer for comfort and long rides. Almost as aggresive as the Madone, but definitely more relaxed. The Solana Beach store is awesome for fit and service. My average speed is up almost 3 mph over 70 miles. Add some good wheels for a totally killer ride. I rode 74 miles on my 60th birthday and hardly broke a sweat. Ride many models and you'll love the Domane.
I absolutely love this bike. It feels like your at home on a spinner. It's just that easy to ride. I didn't even try to beat my usual 20 k and I took 8 minutes off. I didn't even break a sweat. When I was going up hill my front end was lifting off .incredible on gravel roads and I must say I waited 13 yrs to buy a trek and Now l am set for life with this baby.
I Give it to TREK again... Well done Boy's Best road bike ever.. and I have 5 others.
